I recently re-read the 7th book in preparation for the movie premiere, and even though it allowed me to more easily spot errors in the plot, I found it most beneficial. I thought the movie did a great job handling some very exciting scenes from the novel, for example the part where Harry and Hermione visit Godric's Hollow was something I've been imaging over and over again. The movie was almost spot on to what I had thought! Bathilda Bagshot was even worse with her extreme wrinkles and protruding eyes, and the graveyard scene with lightly falling snow was the perfect backdrop (however I did have some flashes from "The Phantom of the Opera" movie).
I feel the entire sense and feel of this movie is different than the rest. Although it's definitely a fiction story, it almost took on a more realistic vibe. Alright, maybe it's not realistic, but I've been living with these characters in my head since I was in the third grade and it feels like I could walk on Platform 9 3/4s tomorrow to join them at Hogwarts. July 2011 can't come fast enough and I already can't wait for when Mrs. Weasley says, "NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU [WITCH.]" (I may have altered the previous quote from Ms. Rowling's original phrasing.) It may be considered a juvenile obsession, or even non-productive use of my time, but heck, if I could add one thing to our world it would be magic! Thank you J. K. Rowling.
