Below I've compiled a list of jobs that I'd like to experience in this lifetime. Probably highly unlikely I will even try half of these jobs, but I can always hope.
I'd like to be a waitress. May I reiterate this is not a permanent job? Anyway, I'd love to work at a small family-owned restaurant (not a chain) and preferably somewhere famous people eat. I think I would excel at making friends with all the customers, I'm just not so sure about carrying all the plates. The restaurant would probably lose more money with me dropping plates than they make with me selling food. Hard truth.
Although it doesn't seem appealing whatsoever, a secretarial job seems quite interesting. I mean, look at the secretary that pages Mr. Trump in "The Apprentice." Filing paper, making copies, taking messages, greeting clients, using post-it notes, making fake typing noises on the computer - I think I'm made for this job. My resumé is the perfect fit, however I think I'd get fired right away after my boss found out that I used enough post-it notes to stock Office Depot. What can I say, I love using post-it notes, especially ones in different shapes.
My life basically revolves around the show "30 Rock" now (as you can see from my previous blog post) and I'm always intrigued by the character Kenneth who is an NBC Page. The actors would love me, but slowly I'd start making sarcastic comments about everyone and slowly I'd say them louder until people heard...and fired.
I have this little obsession with live music. In fact, any chance I get to go to a concert I take it. Although the job seems rather mundane, I want to be a roadie for a band such as Death Cab for Cutie or The Shins. Think of it, you're responsible for the tuning of their guitar (because sometimes I really wonder if pop stars can tune their own guitar). My only taste of this lovely job was when I played with iMOGEN HEAP and I rosined her Water Flute bow. Yet again, another job made for me.
I'm starting to get the feeling that I'm basing most of the jobs off TV shows, but have you seen the episode of "Flight of the Conchords" where Bret is a sign holder? Yup. I've heard it's way harder than you think. In fact, a few weeks ago I was on Figueroa and there was a sign holder for Quizno's Subs or something (I didn't even notice the business because this was such an amazing sign holder) and this guy was amazing! He could flip the sign in ways I'd never seen before! It'd take a lot of practice and hard work, but I bet I could do it.
Lastly, I love animals. Especially dogs. I'd love to be that person walking down a busy street in New York City with 10 dog leashes getting tangled. I'd skip the popper scooper part, but I love dogs and they love me.

I feel like secretaries make a lot more than minimum wage. At least, I'm hoping since that was #4 most likely job occupation on a survey I took.
I also feel like roadies make less than minimum wage.
Roadies definitely don't, unless it's a really high profile band. And same with secretaries. If you're a secretary for Donald Trump, you ain't making minimum wage.
